The affirmative form: имам, имаш, има…

Ten minutes on the plain -ам-group endings the whole affirmative present runs on: имам, имаш, има, имамо, имате, имају, plus ли right after the verb for a yes/no question. Build three sentences that put each ending on the right person, hear the grammar lesson's own „Ја имам пса.“ said aloud, and pick the one form that fits a whole group of friends.

Affirmative present

Drop -ти from имати and add the regular -ам-group endings (see the table below). Имаш ли…?, with the question particle ли right after the verb, is the natural way to ask a yes/no question.
