Deleting your account

How to close your Govorim srpski account — from inside the app, or by writing to us.

In the app or on the site

Sign in, open Settings, and use Delete account at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to type your account's email address; the deletion happens the moment you confirm it.

This is the route to prefer: nobody has to establish who you are, because you are already signed in.

If you cannot sign in

Write to us and we will delete the account for you, and reply when it is done.

  • Send it from the address the account is registered to — that is how we know the account is yours.
  • Say plainly that you want the account deleted.
  • Do not send your password. We never ask for it, and we do not need it to delete an account.

We reply within 3 business days, and within one month at the latest, as data-protection law requires.

What is erased

Everything the account holds goes at once:

  • Your email address, display name and password hash.
  • All learning data: XP, streak, daily activity, per-topic statistics, unlocked levels, flashcards and their review schedule, and your badges.
  • Your attempt history and everything built from it.
  • Any device registered for notifications, and the subscription record held here.

Speaking recordings are not on this list because they never existed: audio is transcribed, graded and discarded inside the request.

What does not go

Two things survive, and it is fairer to say so than to round it off:

  • Finished test runs stay, without you. The account is removed from them, leaving a quiz, a score and per-question outcomes with nothing that points at a person — that is what tells us which material is too hard.
  • The record of payments already made is kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Those are financial records rather than learning data, and we cannot delete them on request.

Nothing else is retained, and there is no hidden copy waiting out a retention period.

If you are on Premium

A live subscription is cancelled before the account is erased, so nothing renews afterwards. The remainder of the period you have already paid for is not refunded — if that matters, cancel first, use the time you paid for, and delete afterwards.

If the cancellation cannot be completed, the deletion is refused rather than half-done, and nothing is erased. Try again in a few minutes, or write to us.

Coming back

Deleting an account frees its email address, so you can register with it again. What does not come back is the progress: a new account starts at zero, and nothing from the old one can be restored.
