The short form: сам, си, је
Ten minutes on the rule the whole short form runs on: unstressed, never first in the sentence, always leaning on the word right before it. Build three sentences that put сам, си and је exactly where they belong, hear the grammar lesson's own „Уморан сам.“ said aloud, and pick the form that keeps a group of friends straight.

Short (enclitic) form - the everyday form
The short form is unstressed: it cannot stand alone or begin a sentence. It normally sits in the second position of the clause, leaning on the word before it.
„Ја сам уморан.“ (I am tired.) and „Уморан сам.“ (Tired, I am.) are both correct; „Сам уморан.“ is wrong because the enclitic сам cannot start a sentence.
