The long form: emphasis and short answers
Ten minutes on the form that can stand on its own: јесам, јеси, јесте answer a yes/no question in a single word, add emphasis to a statement, and combine with ли to ask one. Build three sentences that put the long form to each of those jobs, hear the grammar lesson's own „Јеси ли уморан?“ said aloud, and answer a whole class of students with one word.
The part of the grammar page this lesson drills — read it here, then use it.
Long (stressed) form - emphasis and short answers
The long form is stressed and can stand alone: use it to answer a yes/no question with one word - Јесам. (Yes, I am.) - and for emphasis: „Ја јесам студент.“ (I really am a student.)
The long form also combines with the question particle ли: „Јеси ли уморан?“ (Are you tired?)
